I often have to remind myself that my Creator, I call Him God, has already seen my heart’s needs even before I cry them out to Him… maybe before I even know that need… and that He is already preparing the answer.
It’s like how my mom set aside special things for my wedding even before I had a steady boyfriend. The anticipatory love of God is like that and it’s something most of us mortals don’t realize. We need to dwell on this more, dismissing from our minds the thought of a grudging God who has to be petitioned with nagging and tears before He reluctantly gives in. Again, it’s like a mom who prepares a birthday or Christmas gift for a child while her heart sings, “Oh, how she is going to love this!”
God is like that. Anticipating your needs and delighting in answering your prayers…even before you speak them.
